Reds v. Giants + Fireworks

For my birthday, I wanted to go to a Reds game. I grew up in the Cincinnati area so my childhood was filled with riverboats, flying pigs, and baseball. It felt so amazing to go back to what I know. I remember when I was in second grade, the whole grade dressed up in Reds gear and we all watched the opening season game. We had ice cream in plastic cups that looked like Reds caps and we sang ‘Take me out to the ball game’.

While we were at the game, I couldn’t help but look over at my husband and ask ‘Why don’t we live here?!’ The whole time we were there, we were treated with kindness by everyone we met and did not have one rude encounter (Besides the taxi driver… but he doesn’t count.) and I now remember why I loved living there.

It was such a great birthday celebration and 4th of July celebration. What better way to celebrate our independence by watching an all american sport, eating traditional american hot dogs and beer and ending the night with fireworks?! Simply magical!
