Upon photographing their engagement session, I seen how deeply Abby and Nick were in love. I know their schedules are both very busy so when they are together, you can see they really value it. They are both so easy going. Their easy going attitudes also translated into their wedding day and the unexpected weather that came on the big day.
Their wedding day was planned out so beautifully but was impacted a bit by weather. It was our first reminder that winter would soon be on it’s way. Their day was planned for a beautiful outdoor ceremony and a white tent affair for the reception. Though we had high winds and sleet, it did not effect the love and happiness that radiated off of Nick and Abby. I am so thankful to the bridal party (Esp. the ladies) for being so cooperative as we all huddled inside the horse barn to complete formal images. I’m also so happy that the horses were welcoming and beautiful additions to Abby & Nick’s formal images. The most beautiful things happen in the most unexpected ways!
As always, in every wedding I post, I’d like to point out some of my most favorite things that Abby and Nick incorporated into their wedding day. First, Abby and Nick told me how they met through the local fire station. They incorporated that into their entire day. Their aisle was lined with fire hoses, their cake cutter was an ax… even Nick’s hat was incorporated during many times of the day. Secondly, Abby’s wedding was so perfectly put together with the colors and decor. Some weddings often get off track or random colors may slip in but the rustic, horse farm, wood based, turquoise touches were all present in all parts of the wedding. Even down to their dog’s collar.
Abby and Nick are a couple who you will see 50 years from now, still smiling and still in love. It’s like an ounce of love will never be lost. I know these images have been eagerly awaited and I hope that they show all the beautiful people and their efforts that went into creating a day of celebration for them. It was an honor for Jonathan and I to be your professional photographers for this time in your life.
