The last time I photographed Stephanie and Nick we were getting their maternity pictures done! Since time has passed, Ms. Olivia was born!!! It was simply a joy to see them again and get to meet even more of their family members.

The family wanted to make sure they got some portraits done before Nick’s brother attended basic training. When Stephanie booked her session, she requested a pose that she has seen from a family session back around Easter. (You can view the session HERE) This pose has become somewhat of a specialty to me. The family that I originally did this pose with had a daughter that was going off to basic training also. They brought a flag and asked ‘What can we do with this? Do you have any ideas for poses?’ and so I came up with ‘The send off’ pose. The parents are standing with the flag while their child then stands in front of the flag representing the sacrifice and responsibility they have committed themselves too. It was totally unexpected to come up with this idea, I came up with it on the spot but I hope to do more of them. I think it’s such a sweet and touching image that I am truly honored to provide clients of military members and their families ❤
